There is current discussion on this and some testing to be done.
Ruth FrasurKeymasterWhile there is the ability for libraries to update their own hours and address (with the appropriate permissions), there is no way to account for libraries that have multiple discrete blocks of open time on a given day. This is a desirable feature documented here. https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1396764

June 9, 2021 at 8:56 am in reply to: Interface to allow MARC templates to be created/edited/deleted #858Ruth FrasurKeymasterBen,
This came up because OCLC is changing some things related to fixed fields which means all of our MARC templates will need to be updated. This is something that I could/should conceivably be able to do very easily as a global administrator. But, because it requires editing through direct server access and also requires an OpenSRF restart, I can’t. I am positive that my organization is not the only one this impacts.
Ruth FrasurKeymasterThere IS the ability for this permission to be granted to local administrators. In digging through this ticket, we also uncovered a poorly constructed permission in EG-IN, so a big thanks to Shannon. I am in the process of sussing out what is already there and what needs to be added to address this feature request.
Ruth FrasurKeymasterYes. It seems like the best we can do right now is extrapolate some approximation of granularity in terms of billing types, etc. From an actual bookkeeping standpoint, fixes/development to billing need to happen.
October 8, 2020 at 1:36 pm in reply to: Online patron self registration for immediate access to online resourc #802Ruth FrasurKeymasterWe absolutely would have to have an address checker that could compare to provided districts and assign the patron automatically to the correct district or it would be illegal to implement here, not to mention risky if your econtent contracts have any residency basis.
Ruth FrasurKeymasterWe would need any development to be able to leverage multiple consortia/accounts for this to be useful in Indiana. The API as I’ve seen it so far would not support local contracts or multiple consortia.
Ruth FrasurKeymasterMore reporting headaches rolling in today that would be fixed with this development.
Ruth FrasurKeymasterAdding https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1745623 for the conversation in the comments.
