Ability to apply more status designations via “Action” drop down menu rather than accessing record/template (i.e., display status, a status indicating item is transiting back to home library and/or damaged status that can be applied by someone other than owning library [use case: library receives damaged item to fill patron hold and wants to forward it to home library without tripping hold for next patron]). Discussion of other appropriate statuses for Action menu. Could statuses applied via Action menu all be cleared (or provide a pop-up with that option) when scanned?

Note: Not all staff members have permissions to edit records.

It would be very useful for staff to have more options to the Mark section of the Actions menu. This is more efficient than editing the item attribute and doesn’t require edit permissions.
