Allow users to filter and sort checkout history display, and to select and apply actions to selected titles
Filter options should include (but not be limited to) checkout date and format
Sort options should include (but not be limited to) author, title, date of publication
Actions should include (but not be limited to) download, delete, add to a new list, add to an existing list
These features would be especially helpful for user who want to selectively move titles from their checkout history to another site like GoodReads, LibraryThing or Google Books, or to a spreadsheet or bibliography

ParticipantThis would make checkout history far more helpful. It should also be possible to search the checkout history.

Participanthttps://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1745623 is interesting, but definitely not the same as the idea proposed here.
Another related bug on Launchpad is https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1878660, but again its not the same.
As far as I can tell there is not yet a Launchpad bug for the behavior described here. Does anyone seen one I missed?

ParticipantThanks, Ben, I think I only added that Launchpad bug in my mind. I have now added it in real life.
Here it is: Wishlist: Make Checkout History more usefulSeptember 16, 2020 at 3:11 pm #778Benjamin Kalish
ParticipantExcellent. I told Launchpad it “affects me too”.

ParticipantCould we consider adding the ISBN to the check-out history so in case users do want to move things onto third party services like Good reads?https://bugs.launchpad.net/evergreen/+bug/1860989

ParticipantThat would be very helpful!

ParticipantI agree that adding the ISBN to the CSV is important — really, it’s the key to making all the other improvements to checkout history management useful. Several releases ago, I believe we were able to add this to the CSV locally as part of an action trigger, but that’s not possible anymore (more on that here: Launchpad #1208875) Although not all titles have an ISBN, most books do, and it’s the key to interacting with other systems: GoodReads, Google Books, etc.

ParticipantI updated this list, here’s the latest version:
Patrons should have settings to designate which titles should be saved in the circulation history by format and language (and possibly other options) and how long they want to retain the titles in the list — for example, a patron may want to only save books and not DVDs and other formats, automatically remove titles checked out more than two years ago, etc.
Patrons should be able to search, filter and sort checkout history display. Filter options should include format, language and when the title was checked out. Sort options should include author, title, date of publication and all other columns shown in the display
Patrons should have a way to apply a star or other designation to selected titles, to make it easier to find them for whatever reason. This would be similar to the use of stars in Gmail, Google Drive, etc.
Patrons should be able to select titles and apply actions to those titles. Actions should include (but not be limited to) download, delete, add to a new list, add to an existing list and download CSV.
The option to download CSV should include a filter so patrons can only download books checked out in the last year, or only books in Spanish, etc.
ISBN should be included in the CSV output options, which would make it easy for patrons to connect with Google Books, GoodReads, the Diverse Bookfinder’s Collection Analysis Tool and other services that work with files of ISBNs-
