ParticipantThis would make checkout history far more helpful. It should also be possible to search the checkout history.

ParticipantI never see this part of Evergreen, but it certainly sounds like a no brainer. Why wouldn’t we want this?

ParticipantI’d nervous about this given the low precision of our searches. Folks may not realize that the results on later pages aren’t relevant to them.

ParticipantAgreed. This is fundamentally different from our basic search because the result set is not bibliographic records but strings of text representing the chosen facet (title, subject, etc.)

ParticipantVery much yes! Really, this should just be another way of viewing/sorting search results. There is no reason why we shouldn’t have all the filters to which we are accustomed. (For example, we might wish to see just Spanish language DVDs in the children’s section in the order in which they appear on the shelves.)

ParticipantYes. If not prevent, at least a warning should be shown.

ParticipantYes!

ParticipantI like this. I think it would be good to show the number of times it had been borrowed as well, though it would be overly verbose to specify both a date and the number of times. Perhaps we could use:
- “Borrowed 10/29/2018” for items that have been borrowed just once
- “Borrowed x4” for items that have been borrowed two or more times; clicking on the text could display a list of recent checkout dates

ParticipantYikes! I would expect both of these to default to a format determined by locale of the computer unless overridden by a setting.

ParticipantAlso, I can’t help but wonder if it is redundant to have discussion both on the ideas page and here in the forum. I understand that not ever forum topic is a development idea (this post is a perfect example) but I worry that a lot of discussion will be split between the two venues if it is allowed at both.

ParticipantI’m of the opinion that anyone who takes the trouble to create an account should be welcome to take part fully in discussions here. Of course this is with the understanding that discussion is not the same is voting, which is something formal that happens outside of the forum. Do we need more guidelines than that? I’m curious what you have in mind.
