If a patron is logged in and has opted into retaining checkout history, add a notation like “Borrowed 10/29/2018” to titles that are in the patron’s checkout history, similar to the way Amazon shows a note when you’re looking at the record for a product you’ve previously purchased.
This can be helpful whether you want to avoid taking out something you’ve previously borrowed or if that’s what you’re trying to do. There could be an option in Checkout History that patrons could use if they didn’t want to see these notations.
I like this. I think it would be good to show the number of times it had been borrowed as well, though it would be overly verbose to specify both a date and the number of times. Perhaps we could use:
