It’s very difficult to track MARC record changes, and Evergreen is rather permissive of allowing catalogers to change any part of a record as part of the permissions necessary to do their work.
Evergreen should track every change to a record in a persistent and revertible way and allow users to note why they made a change, as well. This bug calls it Wikipedia-style, which would be great.
