here are various factors that can cause loading of the Offline circulation interface to fail when Evergreen is unavailable.

the following circumstances can cause problems preventing Offline circ from loading:

– Evergreen down but network/web server available
– Offline circ pages not cached in workstation’s browser

Some options for consideration:

– Force offline to load whenever the staff login won’t load
– Develop a downloadable app or browser add on
– Provide offline option when too many login failures

Circulation staff should be able to count on the Offline Interface being available to them regardless of the circumstances of the outage, or the existence of cached pages.
