The standard MarcBreaker format for representing MARC as text, which is used in MarcEdit, programming language libraries, and elsewhere, uses two blank spaces between field tag numbers and the data. The Evergreen flat text editor in Evergreen uses one blank space.
This prevents easy copy and pasting between standard tools and Evergreen which negates a lot of the convenience of having a purely textual way to edit and input MARC. If users paste standard text into Evergreen, it will break the record entirely. See the screenshot.
It should be at least an option for the flat text editor to use the standard formatting.
