One barrier to using hold groups for book discussion groups is that group members often have different format preferences. Some may require a large-print version of the title while others prefer a Playaway.
Under currently functionality, a library would have to create a hold group for each set of patrons based on their preferred format. We would like a way for patrons to identify their preferred format in a hold group. The system could then place a metarecord hold so that each patron could get their preferrred format of the title.
