It is possible in the Evergreen database to change the context of settings. For example, workstation or user settings can be changed to org unit settings.

Use case:

Grid column settings are controlled by workstation setting types by default. The grid column workstation setting types can be changed to org unit setting types, allowing a customized set of column and grid settings that apply to all workstations in a library by default. This eliminates the need to customize each workstation.

A client interface to manage the database changes needed to take advantage of this functionality.
