It is not possible to export MARC records without going through the baskets or buckets interface, which is frustrating and time-consuming if users just want to download the record they are viewing.

It’s already possible to get a single record via API, it should be possible through the interface, as well. See the mockup I made of adding it to the Other Actions menu.
