When staff try to place a hold in the staff client and the hold is prohibited by a hold policy based on the pickup location the message that displays reads ITEM_NOT_HOLDABLE.
This makes it sound like the item isn’t holdable under any condition. The message should say “item is not holdable at this pickup location” or something to that effect. Perhaps a new error, HOLD_POLICY_PROHIBITS_THIS_PICKUP_LOCATION could be added?
It is important that these messages be accurate as the confusion that result from an inaccurate message can lead to poor customer service and staff frustration.
